It Takes Two

It Takes Two is a musical theatre revue drawn from a variety of composers and lyricists with a large portion of works by Stephen Sondheim. The show explores different stages of relationships through song: young love, life projects, growing apart, maturing together. As Sondheim suggests in his musical Into the Woods, happy ever after is only the ending of act one. Life holds much more to be discovered, understood and misunderstood. The truthfulness contained in the selected songs reflect the human experience of relationships in all their joy and confusion, disillusionment and triumph, ultimately revealing the courage it takes to survive. Our journey cannot be lived alone- It Takes Two.
