PERFORMANCES

From Shakespeare to Musical Theatre, ATA offers a high performance standard through shows, concerts, and cabaret, producing Anglophone work from all time periods.The goal of performances produced and/or presented by Atlantic Theatre Arts is to promote the anglophone cultural aesthetic and create a dialogue of cultural exchange with the international audience in Paris. Well known classics will be offered as well as contemporary plays, new interpretations, and new works by current playwrights both abroad and in France. 

 

Most plays will be performed in English with translated titles. Professional performances will be given by the ATA Repertory Company as well as selected members of the professional performing community. Additional performances will be offered by emerging artists, trainees, and amateurs at various events including performances for schools.

ATA REP 

The Atlantic Theatre Arts Repertory Company “ATA Rep” employs a professional roster of performing artists from which it draws to create English-speaking productions ranging from classical to contemporary. The roster is created through an audition process and includes actors, directors, and choreographers. 

 

Programming for each season will be a mix of works chosen by the Artistic Director that reflect both the mission of ATA, and also the unique artistic voices represented in the repertory company. With a regular yearly casting call, the roster of the company will grow with the opportunities available, and the work will reflect the individual artists at the heart of the professional company.

 

PROMOTING ANGLOPHONE PERFORMING ARTS IN PARIS

 Not only does ATA offer its own performances, but presenting and promoting work of other Anglophone companies and collaborating with cultural partners allows for unique performance venues (theatres, museums, parks, etc.) to be shared in order to deepen the experience of all participants.
